You'll find the Flinn Scholars community in every nook and cranny of the Internet.
For starters, visit the Flinn Foundation page on Facebook, follow @flinnscholars on Twitter, and--if you're a Scholar yourself--join the Scholars group on LinkedIn.
Want a quick answer to a burning question? You can reach me via email at mellsworth@flinn.org.
And who is this writing, anyway?
Since 2007, I've been a part of the Flinn Foundation's communications team, writing about all of the Foundation's initiatives, including the Flinn Scholars.
I'm also a Flinn Scholar alum myself, from the class of 1993. After my undergraduate years in Arizona, I completed an MFA in creative writing at George Mason University in Virginia. Now and then, I do type things not entirely true.

Monti's La Casa Vieja in Tempe is perhaps best known as Arizona's best replica of the actual, original Labyrinth from Greek mythology (you know, with the irritated minotaur, a piece of string, etc...).
Despite the twisting corridors, it's also a pretty good place to have dinner, especially if you're hanging out with some of the Scholars and Anna Quindlen, the 2007 Centennial Lecturer.
At the end of her week-long residency at ASU, on Nov. 16, Quindlen joined about a dozen Scholars for a bite to eat. That stretched into a couple of hours, wherein attendees learned the pop-music preferences of the Pulitzer-winning journalist and novelist. And her feelings about Harry Potter and Michael Bloomberg and Woody Allen. And how she came to be the Centennial Lecturer. (Her friend, the late David Halberstam, said it was a pretty worthwhile thing to do.)
The rest of the story is on the Foundation's website, here.
